Since 2008 the pairfam project provides large representative longitudinal datasets to be used by the scientific community for analyzing close relationships and family dynamics in Germany from a multi-actor perspective. This official closing conference is part of the scientific program of the pairfam project, which has been funded by the German Research Foundation across 14 years. For more details, please see www.pairfam.de.

The conference will focus on all main themes of pairfam including:

  • issues of partnership,
  • parenthood,
  • intergenerational relationships,
  • parenting and child development,
  • current topics like the COVID-19 pandemic.

Invited presentations by internationally renowned scientists will focus on the scientific achievements of the pairfam project for interdisciplinary family research as well as the panel’s future as part of the FReDA data infrastructure. We invite submissions of papers and posters presenting research on the panel’s key themes. Contributions based on pairfam data are particularly welcome.
